Trenam Law is pleased to announce that Lara Roeske Fernandez was recognized as Woman of the Year by The Tampa Bay Business Journal during an event at the Vinoy Hotel in St. Petersburg on September 24, 2016. Nearly 600 were in attendance representing leaders the business and civic community. Fernandez was recognized in the Legal Services category.
Fernandez is a Shareholder and leader of the firm’s Bankruptcy, Creditors’ Rights & Insolvency Practice Group. She is Board Certified in Business Bankruptcy. Fernandez concentrates her practice in business reorganizations (debtor and creditor representation), trustee representation, bankruptcy litigation, commercial foreclosures and workouts, and loan modifications. She has served as a Chapter 11 trustee and liquidation trustee as well.
Fernandez is a member of the Divisional Advisory Board of Directors as Synovous Bank. She serves on the Local Rules Lawyers Advisory Committee for the United States Bankruptcy Court, Middle District of Florida. She is a member of the Tampa Bay Bankruptcy Bar Association, American Bankruptcy Institute, International Wormen’s Insolvency & Restructuring Confederation, The Florida Bar Business Law Section, and Hillsborough County Bar Association.
Fernandez received a J.D. from Emory University School of Law where she was Notes and Comments Editor of Emory Law Journal. She received a B.A. from Emory University.
