Marie Tomassi answered questions for the July 2018 Florida Trend special report on Florida law, discussing the opportunities that today’s technological landscape creates for excellent client service. Trenam Law has a highly collaborative and collegial culture, which it has maintained through continued growth in recent years. “Making strategically smart, nimble changes can be challenging,” Tomassi said. “For example, we added cybersecurity as a practice area earlier than many firms, which can be risky but, in this instance, turned out to be spot on.”
In addition to its role in launching a cybersecurity practice, technology has also created opportunities for even better client service. Added efficiencies allow our attorneys to quickly access information and streamline work, which frees up time to really get to know the client’s business and better understand the context for client needs. Technological advances also allow our attorneys to have more of a constant presence by allowing them to respond to client needs wherever they may be at any time. “Being responsive is one of the tenets of our Code of Client Commitment. Technology makes this more readily possible,” Tomassi said.
